Hard to believe it’s been 2 years since this album came out. It’s funny music really does encapsulate moments in time, I miss these days, including making sure there weren’t any dog collars jingling while we’re recording 😂 Since then I’ve gotten photos from people that had songs playing in their car, to being the first dance song at the wedding of my good friends Chris & Kristen (still blown away by that), I feel really lucky. Still amazed at @evanhilldrums producer and drummer with me every step of the way. And my incredible bandmates @jarrodstein, @billyrock45, @themusicalentrepreneur. And such great videos by director @stephaniehouten. So much fun we had, thank you all!
My family did a secret santa this year and I got my sister, I was racking my brain on what to get and I thought let me write a song for my sweet little nephews Alex & James (2 months old & 2 yr). I was hoping it could be a lullaby or something that maybe Soph & Dan can play at bedtime to wind down the day. It kind of came out as this Stevie Wonder jam but hey 😅 I hope they get out of it half of what they’ve already given me, love you guys! @sophiakmccarthy @dimperato

Had an incredible time celebrating Chris & Kristen at their wonderful wedding. Two of the most selfless, kind people you will ever meet (literally). To my complete surprise as they began their first dance, one of my songs started playing. I was blown away. Only they would take a moment that’s supposed to be about them, and decide to share it with others. It’s the honor of a lifetime and a dream come true. Thank you Chris & Kristen. I love playing this song because of the way these guys created such a nice acoustic version. @d_bonzzz on guitar with @jhooper816 weaving in on electric guitar, Jordan laying down the drums. It’s such an incredible scene setter to me. A great song by @maggierogers -Light On.
